How do I know if I have a Part D plan or a Medicare Advantage plan?

Most people today are simply sold some sort of Medicare coverage; they do not learn about it. Thus, if you ask, “What type of Medicare coverage do you have?”, most people do not know. Instead, they’ll pull out their wallets to show you their insurance cards—which is a great way to determine whether a person has a Medigap policy and Part D drug plan or Medicare Advantage.
